Ismaat is an international trade associate, assisting clients with customs issues, tariff classification, trade remedies, and other trade enforcement matters.

Prior to joining Mowry & Grimson, Ismaat was selected in the highly competitive Honors Attorney program at the Department of Homeland Security, where she served as an Attorney Advisor, dealing with legal matters in customs, trade, international agreements, emerging technologies, and litigation.

Ismaat is a graduate of American University Washington College of Law where she focused on international law ranging from human rights to international investment. During law school, she was a member of the top-ranked International Human Rights Law Clinic and Public International Law & Policy Group. She continued her advanced studies and obtained an MA in International Affairs where she focused on international economic relations.

Ismaat is fluent in Spanish and Arabic.
