Jill Cramer is an international trade attorney whose practice focuses on unfair trade litigation, customs law, export controls and economic sanctions. Ms. Cramer counts major U.S. electronics, technology, furniture, steel and medical device manufacturers, as well as universities and insurance companies, among her clients. She has represented companies involved in the steel, furniture, fiber and carbon sectors in multiple high-profile antidumping and countervailing duty cases before the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. International Trade Commission. Ms. Cramer has had considerable success appealing administrative decisions at the U.S. Court of International Trade and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Ms. Cramer has accrued extensive experience assisting U.S. and foreign companies in ensuring compliance with U.S. customs laws, economic sanctions and export controls. She has developed strategies for defending clients against trade-related U.S. government enforcement actions and audits and has created and implemented export and import compliance programs for her clients. She has also aided major U.S. multinationals in conducting internal investigations on compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Ms. Cramer has written numerous articles on international trade issues and has spoken before industry groups on customs and FCPA issues.
Prior to joining Mowry & Grimson, Ms. Cramer practiced in the international trade groups of two top 100 law firms. Before entering private practice, Ms. Cramer clerked for Chief Judge F.A. Little, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
